AI Studio → Tools shows every tool available to Flows and Agents. Sources:
  • Built-in — query_data, gmail_send_email, gmail_search_emails, request_approval, etc.
  • Integrations — jira_search_issues, asana_create_task, notion_search, linear_search_issues, monday_list_boards, etc.
  • MCP — everything your connected MCP servers expose.
  • Custom — anything you’ve built via the custom-tool interface.

Filtering

Search + category filter (Built-in / Integration / MCP / Custom).

What each row shows

  • Name — the canonical snake_case name used in action node toolName.
  • Description — what the tool does, from its schema.
  • Source — where it comes from.
  • Available — whether prerequisites (auth, connection) are met.

Availability

If a tool requires an integration you haven’t connected (e.g., Jira), it’s shown greyed out with a “Connect” affordance. The Flow planner won’t suggest unavailable tools.
